The French School System
Schooling is broken down into three cycles to take
student's different developmental rhythms into
account and to ensure educational continuity.

 Cycle
I includes the three Pre-Elementary School
sections. Kindergarten is the transition period
between Cycle I and Cycle II.

Cycle II includes
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.

Cycle III
includes grades 3 through 5.
The French Academy of Minnesota currently offers
pre-kindergarten through 5th grade.
